Your trip starts from a direct pick up from your hotel to the village of Tampak Siring where the river tubing will begin. Enjoy an adventure along the river for 1.5 hours with a distance of about 7.5 kilometers with a winding and challenging river flow.

The meaning of the name ‘Gunung Kawi’ comes from the word ‘mountain’ which means mountains and kawi which means sculpture.

So Gunung Kawi is a sculpture in the mountains or valley walls. Aside from being a historic site, Gunung Kawi Temple is also a place to pray, which is estimated to have been built in the 11th century.

Because of its location in the valley, to reach the Gunung Kawi Temple Site, you have to go down about 230 steps.  Afterward visit Elephant Cave temple, It is a cave with an ornament of elephant carvings at the mouth of the cave. This cave is very historic. It is estimated that it was built in the 11th century AD. Inside the cave, a Ganesha statue and a Ligga Yoni statue were found. According to the story, this cave used to be an ascetic place to find peace and ask God for guidance on a problem.
